Pupil and Sport Premium

Pupil Premium

The Government believes that the Pupil Premium is the best way to address the current underlying inequalities between children eligible for free school meals (FSM) and their peers by ensuring that funding to tackle disadvantage reaches the pupils who need it most.
The Pupil Premium is allocated to schools to work with pupils who have been registered for free school meals at any point in the last six years (known as ‘Ever 6 FSM’). Schools also receive funding for children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months, and children of service personnel.
Our pupil premium is targeted to meet the needs of our ‘Ever 6 FSM’ children. Where it can be, it also meets the needs of non-FSM children.

PE Premium

The PE and sport premium is designed to help primary schools improve the quality of the PE and sport activities they offer their pupils. The funding is being jointly provided by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport, and will see money going directly to primary schools to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their children.  The money can only be spent on sport and PE provision in schools.

Monitoring and Evaluation

This report will be updated in the Autumn term to identify the success of the implemented initiatives and the impact that they have had. Delivery will be monitored by Mrs Siwiec in the first instance, supported by the Senior Leadership Tean team and Mrs Allbutt. Governors will review the impact of the interventions.
