Little Saints
Little Saints is the name of our Nursery Class. We can take children from the term after their third birthday.
Our Nursery is lead by Mrs Jackson, our Senior Nursery Nurse. Mrs Sellers, Mrs Banner, Miss Jackson and Miss Miller also work in the Nursery.
Children either attend mornings or full days.

St GeorgeReception Unit
St George
St George Class is the name of our Reception Unit. In St George, your child may be in the Red group or the White group. Each group has around 23 children. There are up to 45 children in the unit altogether.
The unit has two teachers, Mrs Mullen (who is our Early Years Lead and Deputy Head) and Miss Garcia. Both teachers teach both groups of children.
The teachers are supported in the unit with qualified support staff. Mrs Belfield, Miss Jackson, and Mrs Chatwin-Salt currently support in St George.
WELCOME TO EARLY YEARS.
Early Years Foundation Stage (Nursery / Reception) is for children aged three to five years old and is the first stage of their education.
The key focus during this part of the national curriculum is on teaching them routine and easing them into the idea of learning in a structured environment.
A lot of the activities your child will undertake will be play-based, with more formal teaching not starting until they begin Year 1.
The Early Years Foundation Stage was introduced to provide a framework for pre-school settings.
Its play-based form of learning, which may be very different from your experience of starting school, is the result of lengthy research. The Foundation Stage recognises that children need to be able to use concrete experiences to provide the building blocks for their learning, so with that in mind it utilises play, modelling, painting, investigating and cooking as the mediums for learning.
Our Early Years team is led by Mrs Mullen, who is also our Deputy Headteacher and our SENDCo.
Little Saints - Nursery
Our Nursery is called Little Saints. We accept children from the term after their third birthday.
All Saints’ First School works in partnership with All Saints’ Kids Club to provide complete wraparound provision for all 3 and 4 year old children. All children are entitled to 15 hours Nursery provision from the term AFTER their 3rd birthday. In addition, parents may be eligible for an additional 15 hours Nursery provision (or may choose to pay for this provision if not eligible).
All Saints’ Kids Club offers before and after the school day (Breakfast and Tea Club) provision. This is usually paid provision. However, unused childcare hours can also be used for this provision.
Together, All Saints’ School and All Saints’ Kids Club offer provision for 5 days per week from 7.30am to 6pm in the following way.
Breakfast Club (Kids Club): 7.30am to 9.15am
Nursery morning session (School): 9.15am to 12.15pm
Nursery afternoon session (School): 12.15pm to 3.15pm
Tea club (Kids Club): 3.15pm to 6pm

St George - Reception
Our unit has 2 class teachers, and additional teaching support staff. This gives us the flexibility to work with children in small groups and provide a wealth of exciting indoor and outdoor learning opportunities.
