All Saints' CofE First School

Our Pupil Groups

At All Saints we have pupil groups who have different responsibilities within school.

School Council

Our school council is made up of two representatives from each class from Reception up to Year 4.  They meet a couple of times each term.  This year the school council are focusing on our outside area and playtime equipment.  They have led assemblies and run fundraising events in order to raise money to buy new equipment which can be used at playtimes and dinner times.

Eco Council

Our eco council is made up of two representatives from each class from Reception to Year 4.  This year the eco council are looking into remodelling our spiritual pod and the wild area so that they can be used and enjoyed by all.  They meet a few times each term to discuss their ideas.  The children have been really interested in local wildlife and made bird feeders for our school grounds to attract a wider variety of wildlife.

Christian Council

Our Christian council have a very important role in school,  helping to make sure that our Christian distinctiveness is the best it can be.  They meet a few times a term to discuss their ideas.  This year the Christian council have taken part in Christian distinctiveness training at All Saints' Church.  They have challenged the school to think about their carbon footprint by speaking to each class about how to reduce their carbon footprint.  This linked to the creation story and our school value of being responsible. The school council also spoke to the school about the Salvation Army Christmas toy appeal, and then collected our donations and delivered them.

Wellbeing Team

Our wellbeing team are made up of children from Year 3 and 4.  Their job is to support pupil wellbeing by ensuring the children feel happy and safe in our school.  They receive specific wellbeing training from Mrs Robinson, our wellbeing team leader.  The wellbeing team wear yellow lanyards so that they are easily identifiable at playtimes and dinner time.  Children can speak to a member of the wellbeing team if they are feeling sad or lonely and they will help them, or find a grown up who can help too.
